The countdown continues in the ‘Musical City’ for what will be the inauguration and start of competitions of the Ibagué 2023, World Artistic Skating Championships.
September 19 will be a historic day for sports in the region, since for the first time in history, Ibagué will receive an event of these characteristics in a setting that today is supported by its high standards of technical quality and infrastructure.
“We have agreed with the authorities that admission is completely free so that citizens can enjoy this international event,” said José Acevedo, president of the Colombian Skating Federation.
The Coliseo Mayor is currently receiving a visit from a commission from the Colombian Skating Federation and World Skate, which is adapting aspects related to the logistics and assembly of the internal and external issues of the world championship.
There will be more than 1,000 athletes from nearly 30 countries who will visit the city during the tournament. Next week, the first participants are expected to arrive along with their technical, managerial and accompanying teams.
