Spectacular with full colosseum and a wonderful energy, concluded the Ibague Artistic Skating World Championship – Tolima 2023, with the second and final day dedicated to senior quartets, precision senior and show large groups, programs with public applause at the Coliseo Mayor of the musical capital.
The first presentation were routines, of the senior category modality quartets, where Spain and Italy gave the medals, taking gold team Vortex, Spain, with 64.34 points, representing love and that connection between two people when they are destined for each other, joining through “The Red Thread”. It may tangle, it may stretch, but it will never break.
The silver went to the Italian quartet Celebrity, which presented a program entitled “The land of dreams”, as tribute to the famous musical film of the same name, which recreated the work of the Italian master Fabricio Mancinelli, with 58.97. The podium was closed by the Spanish quartet CLOVER (52,14), with his work “Reina de corazones”, recreating the written by the English writer and playwright Henry Savile Clark.
The second competence of the night and the penultimate of the championship, was the precision senior category, where the podium was repeated exactly the same as the previous year, crowning again Roller Dream of Argentina, followed by Precision Skate Bologna of Italy, and in third place to Sincro Roller, also Italian.
The gaucho group knew how to impose their route and offered a great routine, full of enthusiasm, a lot of synchrony and color, adding 79.75 points, leaving silver for Skate Bologna with 71.62, and third place to Sincro Roller, with 68.70. Final show attractive, full of elegance, good music, well-worked staging.
Closing the world championship, the show category for large groups, had a single flag, that of Spain, because its athletes occupied the three places on the podium. CPA Olot took revenge the previous year, where he was second, and stayed with the title 2023 with a presentation that shower the importance and prominence of women in today’s world, warning that princesses do not need any prince charming to feel like queens.
The second position went to CPA Girona, which had finished third in Buenos Aires 2023, with a staging entitled “Let me live”, a call of some species that for some may be annoying, but that represent a valuable element in the chain of life.
Finally, the bronze went to CAP Tona, who were the seventh position the year before, and on this occasion made a representation of everything that a traveler lives in an air terminal, since it arrives to make its Check-in, until it arrives at its destination and receives its luggage, creative and very cheerful presentation that got deserved the bronze metal.
The results, the of medals table was defined by bronze metals, as Italy and Spain added equal numbers of gold (6) and silver (9), deciding the equality for bronze medallions, eleven for azzura and two for red tide. Portugal completed the podium with 4 gold metals. Argentina took two golds, ranked fourth, and the host delegation, Colombia, finished fifth.
