The individual and couples’ phases have been completed, the Ibague World Artistic Skating Championships – Tolima 2023 only have the group competitions to develop their all program and reach the end, just positive comments and mentions that reward the enormous organizational effort.
Regarding of the show the first presentation on stage were the precision groups of the junior category, where magic captivated the attendees who gradually were filling the stands of the Coliseo Mayor of Ibague. We saw fantastic presentations, achieved and that filled the expectations of the attendees and followers, hours and hours of work on the floor and on wheels, which were reflected on the show.
The Argentine representation of Shiric was awesome for own and strangers; finesse, great choreography and exceptional work, which allowed him to put ahead in the qualifications of Italian groups, repeating the title achieved the previous year and imposing conditions on its competitors. Silver was left for Monza Precision Team, and bronze for Precision Skate Bologna, both from Italy.
The second competition, quartets junior category, had in the Spanish groups their best representatives, which made the 1 – 2, leaving Italy in third place. The routine awarded with the gold medal was Alexmar, with an act called Sleeping Beauty, a staging to commemorate the story of the Italian Giambattista Basile, who got the first place in the qualifications of the judges.
The second place went to the group Artemisa, also Spanish, their presentation about the history of one of the most famous and popular cola drinks on the planet. The podium was complemented by the Italian group Sparkle Girls, with a presentation that captured the Indiana Dance, a representation of the value, mysticism, music and experiences of an indigenous tribe.
Finally, competition small groups, composed of 12 members, the honors were taken by CPA TONA, from Spain, with a fact of life, about the history of faith of parents who have a daughter with a disease and, Clinging to their faith, they put everything in God’s hands to SAVE her, they called her presentation.
The second place went to Artistic Skating CUNIT, also from Spain, with a routine called REVOLUTION, a great call to fight for dreams, unity and hope as a guide to achieve freedom. The third place and bronze medal went to the Italian group Roma Roller Team, with a very particular scene called EVERYTHING STARTED WITH A MOUSE, a tribute to Disney, from the first black and white sketches of the mythical mouse, to the super productions of Snow White and Aladdin. ¡ Fantastic!
According to the schedule this Saturday, from 4:00 pm, will be the last day, which will define the general medal of the world championship. At that time the program for Senior Quartets will be fulfilled, about 5:40 pm will be the turn of the Precision senior, to close from 7:00 pm with large show groups, companies up to 32 artists on wheels on stage.
Important to stand out that entrance of Coliseo Mayor is FREE then no need the ticket, neither for official training neither for competitions.
