The Coliseo Mayor of the Ibagué Municipal Sports Park will be the venue that will host, from September 19 to 30, the Ibagué-Tolima 2023 World Artistic Skating Championships.
This coliseum with capacity for 8,000 spectators, has all the technical requirements to host an international competition and has as a special feature its cover, a geomembrane made of Serge Ferrari brand PVC, a material that meets the highest quality standards within this type of tensioned structure, which combines durability, safety, design, among other characteristics and another references in the country are the Movistar Arena in Bogotá and the Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, which were adapted with this same roof. This high quality and durable membrane is lightweight, and was hoisted and tensioned with the metal structure. This membrane was made in France and was manufactured in Peru.
The new scenario, located in the Sports Park, meets the technical and logistical issues for competitions and shows with a complete installation of hydrosanitary networks, dressing room areas, bathrooms, showers and spaces where athletes and attendees can enjoy during the events that there they are carried out.
For the World Artistic Skating Championships, the floor will have a synthetic coating based on an acrylic resin that will allow better movement for the skaters when presenting their routines.
