The Accountability held by the Mayor’s Office of Ibagué in the new venue located in the Sports Park was an event that met the technical and logistical issues for competitions and shows.
In the last few hours, the Colombian Skating Federation sent a congratulatory message to the city for putting the Coliseo Mayor into service, a scenario that will host an international competition next month.
“It is very pleasing to see the great impact that this generates for the sports development of the country, once again we say that it meets all the technical conditions for the event that was assigned to the city,” declared José Acevedo, president of the entity.
Thinking about the number of upcoming events, the Risk Management Directorate, relief agencies and other entities carried out a technical inspection to verify the place, confirming that the guarantees are in place to adequately carry out any sporting event.
The Mayor’s Office of Ibagué, together with the Municipal Institute for Sports and Recreation, IMDRI, are getting ready to receive the 1,300 athletes from 42 countries who will be arriving the first week of September for the first training sessions at the Coliseo Mayor.
