During the technical visit made by the president of the Colombian Skating Federation, José Acevedo, the departmental and municipal authorities of Tolima and Ibagué, ratified their commitment to the organization and realization of the 2023 World Artistic Championship.
The highest authority of Colombian skating, in a meeting with the governor of Tolima, Ricardo Orozco, released the official bulletins of the World Skate (International Skating Federation) in which the date of the artistic world championship is reported, as well as the schedule of the competitions that will take place in the “Coliseo Mayor Del Parquet Deportivo Municipal De Ibagué”.
“In accordance with the provisions of World Skate, the World Championship will take place between September 19 and 30. That’s why together with Dr. Orozco, Governor of Tolima, we have already started a schedule of activities around the organization of this world championship that will bring together more than 1,200 athletes from forty nations. It is important to highlight that, after the experience with international events in this region, sport has become the most important vehicle for economic reactivation”, emphasized the president of Fedepatín.
This technical visit to Ibagué is contemplated within the organization chart that the Federation has stipulated to follow up on everything related to the organization. “I was able to observe with the manager of the Municipal Institute for Sports and Recreation of Ibagué, IMDRI, Juan Sebastián Fonseca, the works of the coliseum and verify that they are progressing satisfactorily. The membrane that will cover the stage is 80% complete and from now on I certify that there will be a magnificent and extraordinary setting for the World Championship, as promised by the mayor of Ibagué, Dr. Andrés Hurtado, which further authenticates the commitment of the city authorities”, concluded the leader Acevedo.
